Baby Bloomquist Blog: July 2021

From the day after her 2nd birthday to age 5-and-a-half, Tilly has attended Growing Light Montessori, and she has loved it the whole time! In Bonsai, the toddler class, she was happy to be there even on her very first day, and she adapted right away to the school's routines as though she'd been there for months. In Cedar class, where Tilly spent two wonderful years, she loved her teachers, her friends, learning to write her name, and singing Baby Beluga on stage! This last year (July 2020 to July 2021) in "Transitional Kindergarten" in the Live Oak class, may have been Tilly's best. She loves and is loved by her teacher, Ms. Julie, she's developed a passion for gardening, and has deep friendships with her classmates. The end of the pre-school era feels like a huge step, although Tilly is meeting the moment with excited giddiness, as she and I both feel confident that she will be more than ready to enjoy Kindergarten, starting in a couple of weeks!
