Tilly was 4 months old at the beginning of May, so we are almost 6 weeks behind in posting (#secondchild), although the pictures were taken close to on time.
Tilly has been developing so much! She now reaches for and clutches objects as often as possible, sometimes successfully grasping them in her tiny fist. It may not sound like a big deal to some, but for those who feel the scrape of her amazingly fast-growing baby fingernails, this change cuts deep. She can hold onto her toys for a long time, often popping them in her mouth ... or dropping them on her face and crying about it. She's also figured out how to gnaw on her index finger and sometimes dramatically gag herself with it. She enjoys standing up and sometimes takes small, shuffling steps forward.
Much like her big sister, she can be very talkative at times, her repertoire ranging from adorable gurgles and "goo"s to happy but alarmingly loud shrieking. Her face lights up when people talk back to her, sing to her, or make funny noises for her.
Tilly seems to be a huge fan of her big sister, beaming and giggling at Bernie's antics. Tilly's dislikes, on the other hand, include car rides, the dustbuster, sleeping at night, and anyone talking while she's eating.
She has luxuriously soft, spikey-looking light brown hair, grayish-blue eyes, and the cutest dimple ever to grace a baby's cheek. She is still tall and slender, with feet to match.
We love our little slenderfoot so much!
