BB will have to learn to love the Warriors, so we decided to get her started early with a trip to see them live in action!
A whole new type of game-winning shot!
If she keeps growing at this rate, she'll be out there dunking in a few years!
John's favorite player, Steph Curry, came through to win the game with 2 seconds left! This is the post-win celebration. First of many sporting events, win or lose, for our girl!

Swaddled!
In the course of our "wait, how do babies work?" research, we learned that swaddling is a key to comforting small humans, so we grabbed a friendly, baby-sized monkey and started practicing!
Thanks to Great-Aunt Sue & family for the adorable, soft baby blanket and to Aunt Kate, Uncle JJ & Baby H for the perfect baby gown! Baby B will be so stylish and cozy!

Babyface!
At yesterday's 24-week ultrasound, we got a decent look at Baby B's cute little face.
It looks like she's sucking her thumb, but the tech said she's just gently resting her fist against her chin in a pensive manner.
Now she's resting her head in the crook of her elbow, or possibly smelling her armpit.
Now she has both arms up, hands on the top of her head, and she's yawning! "Ultrasounds are soooooo dull....."
She amused us and the tech by flipping around quite a bit during the exam, starting belly-up but then flipping to belly-down, then back again. It was fun to see her moving in addition to feeling it! Now, when I feel her squirming around all day (and night!), I can kind of picture what she's actually doing!

Baby-Free (Except for Baby Jesus) Christmas
We got a ton of awesome baby gear for Christmas!
Since this will be our last baby-free Christmas, we decided to get really wild and dress up in some adorable baby bibs hand-sewn by Grandma McCarthy (Auntie Veronica's grandmother)! A squirrel driving a tractor and a bear driving a car--wow! Cute, practical, and educational.

A Very Crabby Christmas Eve
We got to spend Christmas Eve with the family & good friends, enjoying an unseasonably warm day in Half Moon Bay, checking out the crab fisherman, then devouring a delicious dungeness crab dinner.
The gang walks the gangplank down to the docks.
Conversing with the friendly fishermen.
Family photo.
Christmas Eve dinner! Thanks, Mark & Jean, for a great day and a yummy dinner.

Baby Bloomquist goes to work at Google!
Actually she goes to work at Google just about every day, but yesterday we had Cousin David there to photo-document. BB doesn't have her own badge yet, but she really takes advantage of the free food.

She's only half-gestated, but she already has a cute nursery and a sufficiently large mom.
I know some people continue to gain weight in the second half of their pregnancies, but I achieved my desired state of largesse early on, and I think I'm going to stick where I am.
At 19 weeks, we found out … it's a GIRL!!!
We baked a pink angel food cake to reveal at Thanksgiving and let everyone in on BB's feminine identity.
Baby Bloomquist at 12 weeks, looking foxy!
A music video is a good accompaniment to this picture:
Also, cute feet:
Whoa! I'm taking an intrauterine tumble!
