Dining out

Bernie has gone out to a couple of casual lunches already, but here she is out to dinner for the first time at Green's Restaurant at Fort Mason.  She was an excellent dining companion, snoozing through the entire three course meal while the adults (using the term loosely) had a quiet, civilized evening.

When Bernie got to be about 4-and-a-half weeks old, we started to notice that she was a lot more interested in looking at things, such as faces and cool toys.  She even followed her favorite objects with her eyes.  Best of all, she started vocalizing her excitement and smiling while looking at things she likes!  It's fun to show her new things and see her be transfixed by them.

In the two weeks since her birth, Bernie has been a hardcore city girl!  For Mother's Day, she ventured outside San Francisco for the first time, all the way to San Carlos!  As you can see from her outfit, Bernie loves her grandmas!  She enjoyed hanging out with her Grandma Jean and can't wait to visit with her Grammy Juju in a couple of weeks!
